Purpose

"The South Saga" is an entertaining epic fantasy inspired by Ibero-American tradition that wants to connect its audience with the values of care for the environment, respect for diversity and the value of friendship.

It is a story full of adventures that will lead our characters to understand the importance of respect as the key to cohexistence.

We want to invite everyone to join this adventure and explore beyond the borders of our screens.

Synopsis

"The Legend tells the story of an ancient battle between the Titan of the Ocean and the Titan of the Mountain, shaped the Southlands. The last territory to be conquered by the fearsome Red Shield Empire. For LAFKÉN, the leader of the resistance, victory seems imminent, but a fireball from the mountain range falls onto the battlefield, leaving the outcome of the war in suspense. LAFKÉN discovers that the fireball is PULMAY, the Courage of the Mountain’s Titan, which means that the land has been left defenseless against the attack of the Ocean’s Titan. Now, hopes rest on LAFKÉN, who must choose between victory and saving the southern lands from flooding, thus embarking on an epic journey to return Courage to the heart of the Mountain Titan”.

Project status

"The South Saga" is a 2D animation project that starts in 2022 with the idea of becoming a series.

The project is currently in a development phase, and now we are looking for partners, co-producers and investors to make the first season a reality.

Besides "Jupiter Cartoon Factory" (Málaga), we have the support of "El Médano Producciones" (Madrid), “MGC” (Canarias) and “Orlok Films” (Euskadi). Also other collaborators in Santiago de Chile, Trieste, Ottawa and Barcelona.

From these alliances and thanks to the sponsorship of different Spanish entities such as ICEX, ICAA, Diputación Foral de Álava, Tenerife Film Commission and DAMA, we got the opportunity to participate in festival and markets in 2023 such as MIFA (Annecy), ANIMATION! Ventanas Sur and Chilemonos. And in 2024, to Mianima, Foro de Negocios y Coproducción Iberoamericano (Premios Quirino) and soon in the next in MIFA 2024.

Progress

"The Saga of the South" is an original story inspired by myths, legends and tales of Ibero-American culture.

Here you can find the first steps of the process to create this amazing universe full of magical creatures, brave heroes, giant robots and steampunk machines.

We are still on the path to shaping this story through art and design.

We love adventure, we love fantasy.

We are a multidisciplinary work team that starts in 2017 with the production of the animated series for Cartoon Network L.A. "Las Aventuras de Ogú, Mampato y Rena", based on the original comic by the famous Chilean cartoonist, Themo Lobos.

Currently we have started to push our new project "La Saga del Sur", an animated adventure series featuring ancestral creatures, brave warriors, steampunk machines and giant robots. A fantasy inspired by ancient tales and legends of Chile and the Wallmapu.
